About

Haulhub is a US-based e-ticketing platform that empowers multiple State DOTs in managing the central ticketing portal and ensures seamless connections with vendors statewide along the way. Other than that, the company also provides generic e-ticketing and transportation solutions to suppliers. Its robust technology offers a holistic digital ticketing system that works even when there is no power or network around. Haulhub makes tasks like logging new tickets, checking temperatures, and verifying inspection notes as easier as ever.

Problem Areas

Haulhub is a transport-based company handling several DOT clients in Massachusetts and beyond. They wanted to scale their business, acquire new clients and enhance vendor/supplier ticket management. Haulhub also wanted to improve its transportation and generic e-ticketing services and streamline the process better. As the company had to collaborate with multiple vendors and get them verified, even at the most remote locations, they needed a solution that could keep projects moving even without internet connectivity. Therefore, they needed our help in improving their existing software and building some key features to make their business more efficient.

Process

To help Haulhub scale its business, our team helped analyze its problem areas, and was a part of structuring a roadmap to address complex requirements step-by-step. Firstly, the e-ticketing portal was built using the Rails framework. This system was of great importance as it automated every manual task like checking tickets, identifying vendors, inspecting the goods each of the suppliers is carrying, and so on. Our team had a major contribution to building their transportation portal. Using technologies like Ruby on Rails, React, Stimulus, and AWS, we helped design their transport management system in the form of a secure web and mobile app that allowed a seamless integration among owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Not only building apps, but we also provide end-to-end consultation service to our clients, which is why currently, our team handles the entire technical aspect of Haulhub’s Transport management System singlehandedly. We also added some modern features within the brokers section where suppliers could easily connect with the brokers, raise tickets, and ensure seamless delivery of products. We also worked on increasing their timesheet implementation where the time taken for transporting goods would be registered in real-time. Other than working on dotslips, we also helped Haulhub in fetching sales slips automatically from their portal, with the help of the same Ruby on Rails framework.

Outcome

Haulhub implemented innovative ways to accelerate its services for suppliers and vendors and improvised its e-ticketing solution in a number of ways. They can now raise and verify tickets faster than before and ensure easy accessibility to vendor records. Overall, the platform saw a significant increase in its customer base and revenue. Due to the implementation of these new features, we could build a long-term relationship with Haulhub. Our developers have been working with Haulhub for almost three years now, continually improving their products and taking care of its progress.
